The biggest effects of climate change are highly visible on the season cycle. The greatest damage to the changing weather cycle is happening to animals. Due to increasing fire incidents in the forest, many species are moving to new places.
Studies by researchers around the world have modified the temperature increase on the Earth's surface as well as the atmosphere and oceans.
In the same amendment done by scientists of the University of Michigan, it has been found that birds of more than 40 species have increased in size of wings and birds of more than 52 species are getting smaller in size. This observation has been issued after practicing birds from 1979 to 2014 in this revision, which published in the journal 'ECOLOGY LETTERS'.
In the same amendment, it has also been recorded that the number of birds of more than 49 species has come down drastically.
Scientists measured the bone, beak length, wings and body size of birds. In birds, the length of Tarsus* is counted as the most perfect change in the body. Researchers have observed that the tarsus length of the bird decreases in the body's body and vital organs. The length of the tarsus has decreased by 2.4 percent, while the length of the wings has increased by 1.3 percent.

According to Brian Weeks, an assistant professor at the University of Michigan and the lead author of this report on birds, we can tell from previous studies that body size is decreasing as a result of rising temperatures. However, the continuation of this change is disappointing.
It is surprising that rising temperatures are having almost the same effect on all species. The causal relationship between rising temperature and the body of birds is illustrated by this report. It is also being speculated that the size relationship that may decrease due to increasing temperature maybe for a long time.

Climate change is a big challenge
Climate change has become a big challenge for the world. To deal with this crisis, all the countries around the world have not yet agreed, due to which the subject has become a very serious form now. In the United Nations Conference related to the environment in Berlin, the hope of a consensus on climate change is being expressed by environmental lovers.
The trade between, high carbon emission countries and low carbon emission countries are called the Global Carbon Trading System.
Facts of climate change
- From the year 1880 till today, 4 years of the highest summer came in which 2018 was also one.
- According to NASA's findings, the temperature was reached at its high in 2015 to 2018 & a temperature increase of 0.83% was recorded in compare to 1951 to 1980. This means extreme temperatures were recorded in the last 4 years. And it is also being speculated that in the coming few years it can increase by 1.5%.

- Compared to 1880, a 1% increase in the temperature of the earth is being recorded in the last few years. The reason for this change is that carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases dissolve in the Earth's atmosphere.

According to a report published in October 2014 last year, if global warming is not stopped here, then in the coming years, the increased amount of heat, drought, hunger, and poverty can be seen. Climate change indicators are becoming more apparent. In 2016, the level of carbon dioxide was 357.0 per million, it has increased to 405.5 parts in 2017. It is expected to increase further in 2019.

Several types of research have shown that the main cause of climate change is humans themselves. Greenhouse gases, the emission of excessive amounts of carbon dioxide created by burning of fuel, cutting of forests and trees. Industries are also said to have a much larger role in man-made global warming. Industrialization is being blamed for an additional 40% of carbon emissions in the last 60 years.

The main cause behind the excess acid found in the ocean's waters is the chemicals released by the industries into the rivers.
According to the report released on 23 September 2019, the President of the World Meteorological Organization said -
- With the rise in land and sea temperatures, there is a record break hike in sea level and emission of greenhouse gases till now.
- Dramatic and more changes in weather conditions are also being seen. Last year (2018) saw 14 disasters related to weather and climate change in the US alone, where the devastation caused a loss of US $ 49 billion dollars. Worldwide, more than 35 million people have been affected by the floods. Cyclone Idai is a recent example in southern Africa, as was expected.
- The impact of climate change on public health is increasing and its fatal consequences are coming out. Since the beginning of this century, the average number of people exposed to heatwave has increased by about 125 million. The United Nations Secretary-General said that extreme heat and air pollution walking together is proving increasingly dangerous, especially as long as the heatwaves become longer, more intense and persistent.
In reality, this report is a strong wake-up call. This proves that we have been saying that climate change is moving faster than our efforts to prevent it.

While writing this article, good news came. Greta Thunberg is a 16-year-old youth activist fighting against climate change, who was awarded Person of the Year by Time magazine.

In the year 2018, she ran away from school and performed outside Sweden's parliament. She raised slogans of 'Save the Earth and the Environment'. From that moment, the movement spread like a flame across the world. Under this, 'Earth Summit' now runs in more than a hundred countries.
Greta's work has been praised on many levels and she has also received the 'Right Livelihood Award' ** which is seen as an alternative Nobel Prize.
Greta, who brought her public awakening to climate change by stopping her education, also spoke at the World Economic Conference in Davos last year. After that, she joined the NewYork WEATHER CONFERENCE. There, Greta lashed out at the apathetic leaders for curbing carbon emissions.
Greta arrived in the United States on a solar-powered yacht to avoid carbon emissions. It took a period of 15 days to travel her from Britain to America.

Greta has dedicated the funds from the sale of this book to organizations with climate change awareness.

Greta believes that leaders and CEOs of large companies around the world are pretending to work against climate change. Because nothing happens without accountability thinking and creative public relations. He recently spoke at the ongoing United Nations Climate Discussion (COP25) in Madrid.

Carbon emissions and India's efforts
As we know, India comes third in the world, in carbon emissions. China is at number one, America at second. Both of these also come in developed nations, and India comes in the list of underdeveloped countries. But India's efforts also show the sharpest will to overcome this crisis.Although India can increase its contribution to this issue, it should also be increased. That is why there is a need for young people to come forward in India. Our thousands of years of culture have definitely taught us how to walk with nature. And we need to take it forward.

जलवायु परिवर्तन का सबसे बड़ा प्रभाव ऋतु चक्र (Season cycle) पर अत्यधिक दिखाई दे रहा हैं. बदलते मौसम चक्र का सबसे ज्यादा नुक्सान प्राणियों पर हो रहा हैं. जंगल में बढ़ती हुयी आग की घटनाओं की वजह से कई प्रजातियां नए स्थानों पर जा रही हैं.
दुनिया भर के शोधकर्ताओं द्वारा किए गए अध्ययनों ने पृथ्वी की सतह और साथ ही वायुमंडल और महासागरों में तापमान में वृद्धि का संशोधन किया है।
इसी तहत मिशिगन यूनिवर्सिटी के वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा किये गए संशोधन में पाया गया हैं ४० से ज्यादा प्रजातियों के पक्षियों पंखों के आकार में वृद्धि हुयी हैं और ५२ से ज्यादा प्रजाति के पक्षियों का आकार छोटा हो रहा हैं. 'ECOLOGY LETTERS' नामक जर्नल में प्रसिद्ध हुए इस संशोधन में १९७८ से लेकर २०१६ तक पक्षियों का अभ्यास करने के बाद यह निरिक्षण जारी किया गया हैं.
इसी संशोधन में यह भी दर्ज किया गया हैं की ४९ से ज्यादा प्रजातियों के पक्षियों की संख्या में भारी गिरावट आयी हैं.
वैज्ञानिकों द्वारा पक्षियों के पैरों की हड्डी, चोंच की लंबाई, पंखों और शरीर के साइज को मापा. पक्षियों में टारसस (Tarsus*) की लंबाई को शरीर में हो रहे बदलावों को सबसे सटीक तरीके से गिना जाता हैं. शोधकर्ताओं ने देखा है कि पक्षी की टारसस लंबाई, शरीर के वस्तुमान और महत्वपूर्ण अंगों में कम होती जाती है. टारसस की लंबाई 2.4 प्रतिशत कम हो गई है, जबकि पंखों की लंबाई में 1.3 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि हुई है.

जलवायु परिवर्तन दुनिया के लिए एक चुनौती बन बैठा हैं. इस संकट से जूझने के लिए अभी तक दुनियाभर के सभी देशों में सहमति नहीं हो पायी हैं, जिससे यह विषय आज भी काफी गंभीर स्वरुप ले चूका हैं. बर्लिन में हो रहे पर्यावरण से सम्बंधित संयुक्त राष्ट्र सम्मलेन में जलवायु परिवर्तन पर आम सहमति बनने की आशा पर्यावरण प्रेमियों द्वारा व्यक्त की जा रही हैं.
उच्च कार्बन उत्सर्जन करनेवाले देश और कम कार्बन उत्सर्जन वाले देशों के बीच होनेवाले व्यापारी लेनदेन को ग्लोबल कार्बन ट्रेडिंग सिस्टम कहा जाता हैं.

कई संशोधनों से यह पता चला हैं की जलवायु परिवर्तन का मुख्य कारण मानव खुद हैं. ग्रीन हाउस गैसेस, ईंधन के जलने से निर्मित अति मात्रा में कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड का उत्सर्जन, जंगलों एवं वृक्षों की कटाई. मनुष्य निर्मित ग्लोबल वार्मिंग में इंडस्ट्रीज का भी काफी बड़ा रोल बताया जाता हैं. विगत 60 वर्षों में अतिरिक्त 40% कार्बन उत्सर्जन के लिए औद्योगिकीकरण को जिम्मेदार बताया जा रहा हैं.
इस वर्ष अमेज़न जंगल में लगी भीषण आग भी मानव द्वारा पर्यावरण को नुकसान पहुंचाने की वजह से ही लगी थी जिसपर लिखा गया हमारा आर्टिकल पढ़िए.
महासागरों के पानी में अतिरिक्त एसिड पाए जाने के पीछे इंडस्ट्रीज द्वारा नदियों के पानी में छोड़े जानेवाले केमिकल्स मुख्य कारण रहे हैं.
23 सितम्बर २०१९ को जारी रिपोर्ट के अनुसार World Meteorological Organization के अध्यक्ष ने कहा की-
- जमीन और समुद्र के तापमान में वृद्धि के साथ समुद्र के स्तर में तथा ग्रीन हाउस गैसेस के उत्सर्जन में रिकॉर्ड ब्रेक वृद्धि देख हैं.
- मौसम की स्थिति का नाटकीय एवं अधिक बदलाव भी देखे जा रहे हैं. पिछले साल (2018) में अमेरिका में, 14 मौसम और जलवायु बदलाव से जुडी आपदाओं को देखा, जहां तबाही की वजह से यूएस $49 बिलियन डॉलर का नुकसान हुआ. दुनिया भर में, 35 मिलियन से अधिक लोग बाढ़ से प्रभावित थे. दक्षिणी अफ्रीका में चक्रवात इडाई एक हाल ही का उदाहरण है, जैसा कि अनुमान किया गया था.

न्यूयॉर्क में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के साथ हुए विश्व जलवायु परिवर्तन सम्मेलन में इस तरह का सवाल तमाम दुनिया के बड़े नेताओं के सामने उपस्थित करनेवाली वाली ग्रेटा थनबर्ग यह सम्मान पाने वाले सबसे कम उम्र की युवा हैं.

वर्ष 2018 में, स्कूल से भागकर स्वीडन की संसद के बाहर प्रदर्शन किये थे. उसने 'पृथ्वी और पर्यावरण को बचाओ' के नारे लगाए। उस क्षण से, आंदोलन दुनिया भर में एक लौ की तरह फैल गया. इसी के तहत अब सौ से अधिक देशों में 'वसुंधरा मेले' चलते हैं.
ग्रेटा के इस काम की कई स्तरों में प्रशंसा की गई है और वह 'राइट लाइवलीहुड अवार्ड'** जिसे वैकल्पिक नोबेल पुरस्कार की नजर से देखा जाता हैं, यह पुरस्कार भी उन्होंने प्राप्त किया हैं.

अपनी स्कूली जीवन से दूर रह रही ग्रेटा को यह सब कुछ पसंद हैं ऐसा बिलकुल नहीं. "हमारा बचपन, हमारी स्कूल, हमारी खुशियां आप लोगों ने छीन ली हैं," ऐसा उन्होंने जलवायु परिषद् के अपने भाषण में कहा था.

ग्रेटा मानती हैं की दुनियाभर के नेता एवं बड़ी कंपनियों के सीईओ जलवायु परिवर्तन के खिलाफ काम करने का नाटक कर रहे हैं. क्योंकि जवाबदेही की सोच और रचनात्मक जनसंपर्क के बिना कुछ नहीं होता है. उन्होंने हाल ही में मैड्रिड में चल रहे संयुक्त राष्ट्र जलवायु चर्चा (COP25) में बात की.

इसीलिए ग्रेटा थनबर्ग कहती हैं,
"हम आज जो भी (पृथ्वी का विनाश) कर रहे हैं, उसे हमारे बच्चे दुरुस्त नहीं कर पाएंगे.
संकट को संकट ही समझे, और हमें हमारा भविष्य प्रदान कीजिये.

कार्बन उत्सर्जन और भारत के प्रयास
जैसे की हम जानते हैं, कार्बन उत्सर्जन में भारत का दुनिया में तीसरा नंबर आता हैं. पहले नंबर पर चीन, दुसरे पर अमेरिका हैं. ये दोनों भी विकसित राष्ट्रों में आते हैं, और भारत विकसित होनेवाले देशों की सूची में आता हैं. मगर भारत के प्रयासों में भी इस संकट से जूझने के लिए लगने वाली तीव्रतम इच्छाशक्ति दिखाई देती हैं.हालांकि भारत इस विषय में अपने योगदान को बढ़ा सकता हैं, और बढ़ाना भी चाहिए. इसीलिए भारत में युवाओं के आगे आने की जरुरत हैं. हमारी हजारो साल के संस्कृति ने हमें प्रकृति के साथ एक रूप होकर चलने की सीख जरूर दी हैं. और हमें इसे आगे ले जाने की जरुरत हैं.
