कैन्सर के इलाज में गुणकारी है ‘गौमूत्र अर्क’
ऐसा ही एक संशोधन प्राणियों में पाए जाने वाले मधुमेह (alloxan-induced diabetes) पर गोमुत्र अर्क के प्रभाव का अध्ययन किया गया था. इस अध्ययन में 200-250 ग्राम वजन वाले विस्टार एल्बिनो चूहों का उपयोग किया गया था. रक्त शर्करा, विटामिन सी और malondialdehyde रिलीज जैसे जैव रासायनिक मापदंडों को मापा गया. इस प्रयोग में जब गौमूत्र अर्क के उपयोग के बाद डायबिटिक चूहों में रक्त शर्करा और विषैले तत्वों में काफी कमी पायी गयी.
